However Metfab Heating recognized them recently as one of two families in Clark County most deserving of a free ductless heat pump. Don and Edie Smith, in Sifton, who are caring for their grandchildren while their son and daughter-in-law are on their third term in Iraq, were the other recipients.

October 6, 2009: Locally owned METFAB HEATING, Inc. was named the “TOP DUCTLESS HEAT PUMP INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR” in Washington, by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance(NEEA). The acknowledgment came at a ductless heating workshop held in Portland last month.
NEEA is working with northwest contractors and manufacturers to get the word out about the energy savings available with the new ductless heat systems for homes using electrical heating. “MetFab Heating was recognized because it has installed more of these systems than any other contractor in the state” stated Alexis Allan, Project Manager for the NEEA.
MetFab Heating has been designing and installing ductless heat pumps for several years and has a great deal of experience to support their Top Contractor designation. “We have had wonderful feedback from customers who have installed the Ductless Heating Systems” says MetFab Heating vice president, Erin Rose. “The installation is far easier and less expensive that other heating and cooling comfort systems and they save a significant amount on their heating bills. The system is also quieter, cleaner.”
The best news is that Clark Public Utilities has extended the program for another year that enables homeowners to apply for a $1500 rebate if they install a ductless heatpump, plus they may also be eligible for an additional $1500 in federal tax credits.
“This is a proven system that is a win for the environment and the pocketbook” acknowledges Rose. “The time is now to install, before it gets much cooler”. September 15, 2009: The Northwest Ductless Heat Pump Pilot Project has been extended for another year. The program is now scheduled to continue through September 30, 2010. Clark Public Utilities will continue to participate in the program and offer customers that qualify a $1500 rebate on ductless heat pumps. There is also financing available at 5.25% upon credit approval.
