The acknowledgment came at a ductless heating workshop held in Portland last month.
NEEA is working with northwest contractors and manufacturers to get the word out about the energy savings available with the new ductless heat systems for homes using electrical heating. “MetFab Heating was recognized because it has installed more of these systems than any other contractor in the state” stated Alexis Allan, Project Manager for the NEEA.
MetFab Heating has been designing and installing ductless heat pumps for several years and has a great deal of experience to support their Top Contractor designation. “We have had wonderful feedback from customers who have installed the Ductless Heating Systems” says MetFab Heating vice president, Erin Rose. “The installation is far easier and less expensive that other heating and cooling comfort systems and they save a significant amount on their heating bills. The system is also quieter, cleaner.” The best news is that Clark Public Utilities has extended the program for another year that enables homeowners to apply for a $1500 rebate if they install a ductless heatpump, plus they may also be eligible for an additional $1500 in federal tax credits.

September 15, 2009: The Northwest Ductless Heat Pump Pilot Project has been extended for another year. The program is now scheduled to continue through September 30, 2010. Clark Public Utilities will continue to participate in the program and offer customers that qualify a $1500 rebate on ductless heat pumps.
